On Wednesday evening,
13 June, Giulio Salomone, Managing Director of Fiat Auto
UK, hosted the London launch of Fiat’s latest model,
the New Bravo, at the Roundhouse in Camden.

In the presence of the Italian
Ambassador, Giancarlo Aragona, the spectacular evening was
a huge success, attracting an array of personalities, including
Jade Jagger, Meg Matthews, Reena & Ruby Hammer, Tamara
Beckwith, Giorgio Locatelli, Allegra Hicks and Gianluca
Vialli.
Entertainment included a
live performance from Mattafix (Big City Life), The Loose
Cannons, and music by Poppy Lloyd, Jasmine Guinness and
Jaguar Skills from Jezebel.
The undisputed star of the
show, however, was the new Fiat Bravo. Developed by the
Fiat Style Centre in Turin, the exterior is unmistakably
Italian, all of which is part of the development of the
brand’s visual identity.
New Bravo, which was created
in a record-breaking development time using state-of-the-art
Computer Aided Design (CAD) and Computer Aided Engineering
(CAE) systems of unprecedented power and complexity, combines
a compact five-door body with a remarkable amount of interior
space.
Very competitively priced,
the New Bravo contains a wealth of technological features,
and quality standards worthy of a higher class where safety,
comfort and driving enjoyment are concerned. New Bravo has
already been awarded a maximum 5-star rating for adult occupant
protection in the gruelling Euro NCAP crash test programme.
New Bravo is an agile car
that is entertaining to drive, thanks in part to a wide
choice of petrol or diesel engines up to 150bhp, which combine
low fuel consumption and low emissions with outstanding
performance. New Bravo goes on sale in the UK on Saturday
30 June.
While introducing the New
Bravo, Giulio Salomone also emphasised Fiat’s intention
to become World Number One in terms of offering the best
automotive digital experience available to would-be customers.
The aim is to create the most attractive, most innovative
and easy-to-operate automotive digital experience on the
web, and the results will be revealed when the new site
is officially launched on Thursday 28 June.
Fiat Auto UK’s
business under Giulio Salomone has been transformed. Market
share has more than doubled in two years, and a new central
London showroom is expected to open by the end of 2007 –
just in time for the arrival here of the iconic new Fiat
500.
